Experience using Epoxy Resin

Instructions for use of epoxy resin:

EPOXY RESIN during the 3: 1 ratio by weight should be used for accurate weighing

Use topical adhesive to apply mold to surface

Stir bottle A, measure 1 part of substance A into clear plastic cups / glasses or any container, not in utensils

Measure 1 part of substance B in the ratio of 3A: 1B, weighed

Stir gently in a clockwise direction for 3 to 5 minutes until the mixture is clear (First, when mixed again, the solution is opaque white, stir until it is fresh again)

Allow the mixture to stand for 2 to 4 minutes until the air bubbles explode

 

 

The note when using epoxy resin:

NOT A LOT OF TOO MUCH - BEST FROM 2KG REDUCTION

Pour into molds or items to be made

Allow to stand for 12 hours and then separate

 

 

Note when mixing Acrylic Resin:

1. Use a small scale to accurately measure the ratio

2. When mixing with plastic, it must be mixed before adding catalyst

3. Gently stir the base when the mixture is clear like water, when pouring out the plastic, don't turn into a cup because the walls have a lot of plastic that hasn't melted yet.

4. Can mix hard plastic and plastic to produce a clearer product and have a firm hardness and plasticity.

5. Use gloves and masks

 

 

 

Some common errors when mixing Acrylic resin hard type:

1. Stir the undissolved plastic: stirring the melted plastic into the solvent leads to a mixture that generates much heat, when the surface is not smooth or hard to freeze.

2. For too few catalysts: The plastic does not freeze or takes more than 24 hours to be able to solidify, the freezing time if the correct ratio is from 6-8 hours

3. Give too many catalysts: The plastic produces too much gas due to the catalyst heating up

 

 

Good experience when using epoxy resin:

You can use vaseline paste to apply anti-adhesion silicone mold or metal mold to pour Resin glue

Apply a thin layer of vaseline or brush to the surface of silicon molds, metal molds to make removing and removing molds easier.

Vaseline is used to polish leather items (shoes, bags, ...) and metal items, to remove stains on glass and wood surfaces, to protect wood, to prevent rust, to lubricate. hinges, locks, .....

Vaseline is insoluble in water and does not oxidize when exposed to air. The product never expires.
